If you're just replacing all the electrical parts on the bike, this is a great replacement for the stock rectifier. This rectifier is for motorcycles with single phase charging systems. There are 4 leads, 2AC and 2 DC. The rectifier receives AC power from the stator and converts it into DC power for the battery. This is a great replacement for the original selenium rectifier, these are more efficient, run cooler and put out more consistent power than the originals.Before installing a new rectifier, make sure your alternator is putting out the proper amount of AC current and all the connections are clean and making proper contact.It has cooling fins on it, so be sure to install it where the old rectifier was or somewhere where there's adequate air flow. It will just plug in to the stock male connector.
